G.S. Callendar was also an important person in the debate. In 1938, G. S. Callendar, a British amateur meteorologist, made a bold claim that may sound familiar. He argued that man was responsible for heating up the planet with CO2 emissions. Despite the previous work of Arrhenius, it still wasn’t a common notion at the time.
